Classes We Offer

Hatha Foundation

This class provides a basis and experiential understanding for common yoga postures as well as the descriptive alignment of the body and breath.
Through long, static holds, the emphasis is on the pose rather than on linking movements. You have time to move deeper into your postures.  This class focuses on developing the foundations of a safe and empowering hatha yoga practice.
As an all-levels class, beginners will gain knowledge of the structure of postures, while more advanced practitioners can work on strength, precision, and alignment.

Vinyasa Flow

In vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. Each movement is synchronized to a breath in a continuous flow of poses.

Vinyasa classes are suitable for all levels, with variations and modifications offered throughout the class to support beginner students.

Deep Stillness Yin Yoga

The word ‘Yin’ comes from the Chinese philosophy of Taoism.

Yin yoga is a deep, meditative practice where physically the focus is on moving deeper into the connective tissues of the body (ligaments, tendons, and fascia – the cling-film-like ‘tissue’ which holds our muscles together) in areas such as the hips and spine, for instance.

While each posture is held for two to five minutes, mindfulness practices are offered to encourage complete surrender in each pose. Crystal singing bowls will occasionally be used to enhance relaxation and the energetic healing benefits of Yin yoga.

This class is suitable for all levels.

Yin & Yang

Yin Yoga activity is slow, steady with a sense of core softness and surrender.

Yang Yoga is the active dynamic practice that keeps the body’s functionality and mobilizes the energy body to refresh the body’s vibrancy and maintain health.

The combination of Yin/Yang yoga allows for setting up inner alignment, creating the foundation for outer or postural alignment. This class is suitable for all levels.
